![]() You are now ready to resume printing with your CL-211XL ink cartridge. Lower the cover gently until it closes completely. Lastly, you can close the printer’s cover by lifting it slightly and pressing on the lever to fold it inward. Lower the cover down and snap it firmly into place. ![]() If the cartridge doesn’t sit flat, you may have trouble closing the small cover. Insert the new CL-211XL cartridge into the slot, with the label facing upward. Raise the cover up out of the way and remove the empty Canon CL-211 ink cartridge. The carriage will move to the center automatically, then you can open the small cover marked C for color by pinching the small handles together. ![]() As you raise it, a plastic lever moves forward to hold the cover up while you replace your cartridge. Inside the opening, lift up to open the top cover of the printer. With the cartridge prepared, turn on the printer and open its paper tray. If it comes with a tape strip to protect the heads, grab the loose end of the tape and pull to remove it. If the cartridge is packaged with a plastic guard, pinch its two handles toward each other to remove it. When you receive your new remanufactured CL-211XL ink cartridge, take it out of the box and remove the plastic bag carefully. This very small cartridge weighs only 2.1 ounces, making it easy to replace. It can replace the CL-211 cartridge, but has a higher yield of around 349 pages at an average of 5% page coverage. The CL-211XL ink cartridge contains cyan, magenta, and yellow ink.
